MY STORY

I was born in a small city in Canada to an immigrant family, where my early experiences of growing food in a garden, raising chickens, and spending time by the lake instilled in me a profound appreciation for the natural world and its impact on well-being. The values I learned from my parents—working hard and always giving back—have shaped every step of my journey. By the age of six, I knew I wanted to be a physician. That calling deepened during my college years when I spent a year in Chad, Africa, working on a public health initiative and volunteering at a hospital.

I am grateful to have completed my medical school and family medicine residency at Loma Linda University Health, one of the five Blue Zones. The curriculum’s integration of whole-person care and lifestyle medicine with Western medicine  encouraged me to rethink how to approach healthcare. During my residency, I faced personal health challenges that forced me to look beyond conventional treatments. This experience profoundly shaped my understanding of illness, highlighting the importance of addressing the root causes of disease and supporting each patient’s unique biology.

I felt called to offer these innovative therapies to my patients because, just as I regained my health, I wanted to help others experience the same transformation. This led me to pursue an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where I learned from experts in mindfulness, botanical medicine, Reiki, medical hypnosis, and even equine therapy. Each of these modalities added new layers to how I care for my patients.

For me, Integrative and Functional Medicine isn’t just my dream career—it’s a mission. I am committed to helping my patients live vibrant, healthy lives through an innovative approach that includes pre-disease detection, regenerative therapies, and ancient traditional medicine. My passion is to guide patients on their journey to unlock the body’s incredible capacity for self-repair and long-lasting well-being.
